How to Plant your Garden Guide
Ten Top Tips for getting the most from your Bin Garden!
Tip One:
Choose your plants carefully. Some plants will give you lots of Mulch and others will give you lots of XP. Use our Complete Bin Weevils Seed Catalogue – at the bottom of this page – to help you decide which plants to grow.
Tip Two:
Buy plants that are all the same type. For example: buy all Tulips or all Roses. Plants of the same type are the same size, which makes it much easier for you to fit as many plants in to your Bin Garden as possible. You are far more likely, to end up with wasted space in your garden, if your plants are all different shapes and sizes.
Tip Three:
If you fill up your garden with plants that are all of exactly the same variety, for example, all Midnight Blue Tulips, all of your plants will be ready for you to harvest at exactly the same time. This means that you won’t have space in your garden that you can’t use, because you are still waiting for some other plants to be ready to harvest.
Tip Four:
Before you begin to plant your Bin Garden, take down your garden fence (if you have one). You will find it much easier to plant your garden properly, without a fence in your way and you can easily put it back up after you have finished planting!
Tip Five:
Plant your garden in an orderly fashion. If you just plonk your plants down randomly in your garden, you will end up with loads of wasted garden space. Use the pictures below, to show you how to plant in rows instead and you will be able to fit many more plants in to your garden.

Plant your garden in an orderly fashion. If you just plonk your plants down randomly in your garden, you will end up with loads of wasted garden space. Use the pictures below, to show you how to plant in rows instead and you will be able to fit many more plants in to your garden.
Start planting your garden by placing your first plant as close to your nest and as close to the outside edge of your garden, as you can possibly get it! Then continue to plant, all around the outside edge, placing your plants as close together as they can be. You will find that you can also get some of your plants, very slightly over the outside edge too!
Now plant a second row of plants in exactly the same way as you planted the first!
Continue planting your garden, in rows, until you have filled your whole garden up!
Note: If you are left handed, you might find it easier to plant from right to left instead of left to right, as we have.
Tip Six:
Harvest your plants as soon as they are ready and get another lot planted in, straight away! Make a note of what time your plants will be ready to harvest. If you have forgotten how long a plant takes to grow, you can use our Complete Bin Weevils Seed Catalogue to remind you. Try not to lose any valuable growing time, by leaving your plants in after they are ready to harvest – see if you can get someone else to harvest and re-plant your garden for you, if you can’t get to your garden when it is ready for harvesting!
Tip Seven:
NEVER let your plants stay in your garden for longer than the time that they will live for! There is nothing more heart-breaking, than to see your carefully planted Bin Garden full of withered plants! If your plants have withered, you won’t earn any Mulch or any XP from them and all the Mulch and time that you spent on them in the first place, will have been wasted! Use our Complete Bin Weevils Seed Catalogue to remind you how long your plants will live for, if you have forgotten.
Tip Eight:
You will also get 1XP point every time you place a plant in your garden. Choose plants that take up a small amount of space and plant your garden very carefully to get some extra XP!
Tip Nine:
Invite lots of weevils to visit your nest! When weevils visit and rate your nest, they can visit and rate your garden too and when they do, you will receive bonus XP!
Tip Ten:
For Bin Tycoon’s Only.
Bigger is better! Save up all that Mulch that you make from your Bin Garden and use it to buy yourself a bigger garden. Visit Clott’s Plots at the Tycoon Island Shopping Mall and you can extend your garden up to four times. It may seem like a lot of Mulch to spend on a garden but you will be able to fit lots more plants in, so you will be able to earn yourself even more Mulch and XP!

Rare Plants
While we were exploring all the weevily gardens, we noticed a very peculiar looking plant and wandered where it came from, then we found out it was from the bincards, so that inspired us to make a section on 'rare plants' where we look at weevil's gardens and find different bizzare plants and show them up on here.
